The beginning

Vandamsco started with a question that sounds simpler than it is: why do you wear what you wear?

For most people it is not a decision. It was hanging there, it fits, it is clean. But there is a category of clothing where the choice is deliberate. The shirt you had on that night. The jacket that belonged to someone who is gone. The piece you only bought once you could afford it. That clothing does something ordinary clothing does not: it keeps something.

That is what Vandamsco is about. Not self-expression as a marketing word, but the plain fact that clothing holds on to the moments you wore it in.

Which is why we work in chapters instead of seasons. A season is a schedule. A chapter is a moment. Each one is made once, stands on its own, and does not return. Five years from now you will still know which chapter you were wearing.

Chapter 001 is called Essentials. One oversized t-shirt, 255 gram cotton, black and white. The simplest possible garment, because there is nothing to hide behind. If this is right, the rest can be trusted.
